Might as well dump my ideas here, then, which are all in one convenient post for consumption.
To summarize the ideas here... The Lone Star Twin is a shrapnel launcher (similar to UT's flak cannon) that has a secondary firing mode that, for the cost of metal, will super heat the shrapnel to ignite enemies. Replaces Shotgun. Irene is a slug launcher in a similar fashion to the Pyro's Flare Gun, and these slugs cause big knockback the longer they're in the air, even exploding upon impact from a certain range (like Scout's Sandman making a moon shot). Replaces Shotgun. Texan Pride is a large worker's apron that reduces damage taken from explosives and fire, increases metal cap by 50, but slows the engineer between soldier/demo. Pistol unlock. HED Gear (Helmet of Extreme Density) prevents being headshot, adds 25 health, but also reduces speed between soldier/demo. Pistol unlock. The Jackhammer is rather complex. To sum its core feature, it has a jackhammering mode which you build/repair/upgrade/move faster with and it builds far faster than the wrench, but it cannot crit, swings very slowly, and sappers still have to be whacked off with two hits. There's more to it than just that, though. Wrench replacement. The Gauntlet also is a bit complex, but to summarize its core feature it can lock on to your buildings or to an enemy and be launched to instantly repair buildings and remove sappers or knock enemies back, but then have to recollect it or wait a short time, like Jarate's recharge. Naturally, there's more to it, but that's the jist of it. Wrench. The Sheriff and Deputy are a sentry sidegrade and consists of two non-upgradeable sentries that can patrol between up to three waypoints you designate when building them, they build up very very quickly when waypoints are decided, and both are given their own waypoints to patrol. Engie's Little Helper is a dispenser sidegrade that expands upon VALVe's Repair Node so that it's much more team friendly, adding healing and ammo regen to the pulses. |

The trampoline: Soldiers and demo used to get all the high flying action and self-cratering fun but no more. This bouncy little pad allows even the densest of stones to take flight. (Machanic: Simple, jump on it and it throws you and anyone else into the air. Great for jumping onto battlements on 2fort or over walls in other maps)
The Empathetic Reconfiguratorabob: Watch hilarity ensue when this limited range device suddenly turns the defenses of one's enemy into the offensive blitz (Machanic: Sentries turn on their own team and dispensers heal enemies for 10 seconds) |

Here are my ideas that I posted in Facepunch. I don't care if they are old, unoriginal, or already linked to. I think they are great.
