GTA 4 save game corrupted

Hi. I went to play GTA 4 after not playing it since last night. Pressed start, it loaded etc and then I was presented with this as the apartment:

Any idea why this has happened? The auto save in the bottom slot which is timed 6 minutes before my 'main' save is exactly the same, just with lower health. I found the bed and saved again into slot 2, loaded that up and it was the same.

Any idea why this has happened? Not happy if my progress has been lost...
