erm, I've activated over 15 times and hit no limit, and usually I don't uninstall before reinstalling my os or switching os either O.o

Does the limit still exist? I almost feel bad about buying the game now. I never buy games that have a limit on activation.

I actually deleted the game each time before I reinstalled or upgraded my system, and I am now being denied activation and told to call an international number, which I hear takes about ten to fifteen minutes and gives you the same error code. When I bought this game on Steam I am positive the page said "requires online authentication, unlimited activations". The Steam site now mentions absolutely nothing about activation, whatsoever. So much for "Play your games on any PC
Once you have a Steam account, you can sign in from any PC to access your games. Your games are associated with your account, not your computer." What utter B.S. This and crap like Ubisoft is pulling with AC2 is exactly why PC gaming is dying out. I guess publishers want us to buy and sell used console versions of games so we can avoid them actually making any more money off their product, lol. |
