CAN'T RUN THE GAME? READ THIS BEFORE POSTING!

OK since the game is on sale and this board is getting an influx of people who can't seem to read the first couple of topics....If you are running Windows Vista or Windows 7, you more than likely can't get the game to play. Before you go and post a topic on how Rockstar sucks because you can't read the store page that says Manhunt doesn't work with Vista or 7 right at the top, try using my patcher.

If you are using x86:
For retail versions, it should be C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Manhunt
For the Steam version, it should be C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\manhunt

If you are using x64:
For retail versions, it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Rockstar Games\Manhunt
For the Steam version, it should be C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\manhunt

Just wanted to add that it never said it didnt support vista...only Win 7
And add thanks because the patch worked

I tend to check for stuff like that, especially where older games are concerned.

I purchased the game knowing there was a patch for my OS. This game looks awesome in higher resolutions.

This game works fine on Windows XP x64 fine...(I mention this as many people have x64 Win Seven)

Works on Vista x64 as well, as long as you run this patch before you try to run the game. Otherwise, each time you attempt to run it, it'll crash or stall.

This patcher is fantastic. It's too bad Rackstar or Valve or whoever won't make it a part of the download.

Sounds like Steam keeps checking the game's files before launch. Right click on Manhunt in Steam, properties, updates and set it to "Do not automatically update this game".
