So here goes, enjoy or not Overview In comparison with the latest L4D1 Vague Vomit version, I have to say the L4D2 release is quite similar. Some features were removed, but many tweaked and improved (mostly the color glow pulse functionalities and bugs). Take the current version as a solid L4D2 start to add requested functionalities and new script modules that might come up, something that will improve over time based on community input as it was with the first project. Features NETCODE OPTIMISATION The script ensures the correct netcode variables are set to maximize game network performance. LOBBY LEADER MAX PING SEARCH Limited to 70ms so you don't get no distant server search as a Lobby Leader. SCOREBOARD EXTRA INFO Pressing TAB to show the scoreboard now shows additional net_graph info while the key is pressed. Automatically disabled during demo recording to keep the demo image clean. THIRDPERSON MODE Toggled by F8, this script adds thirdperson fixed functionality to the game (you can actually aim with it). When you turn on the mode, you can use mousewheel to set the camera distance. Shotgun sounds, as in the first game, are still Valve bugged. INCREMENTAL 1-KEY DEMO RECORDER A complicated built-in script for convenient demo recording controlled by F5 (start/stop), it automatically disables enhanced visual elements of the q1 pulse glow and net_graph to provide clean demos. By default, it will also record your ingame voice as addition. Q1 PULSING GLOWS One of the mothership functions that has been introduced before, this time with way better performance (less aliasing) and smoother transitions, it changes the default glows in game to a more subjective eye-candy experience. Smooth pulsing effect is now applied to item states, incapacitated teammates and Infected ghosts along some other static color changes. Q1 CROSSHAIR (optional, default off) I kinda like it, you might too. CONVENIENCY BINDS F4 - prints out Server Information F9 - opens the Server Browser F10 - opens the Demo UI F11 - disconnects from the current game (useful when stuck in load etc.) F12 - sm_admin bind Addons The script has some fixed functionality for the awesome but abandoned FOV plugin, which adds the fps_max command but cannot keep it saved on game load. Removing the commented lines you can activate a simple script that will keep the framerate on 60 with the plugin installed. Recommended. You may as well add the former script modules like double-tap crouch etc. Changelog Code: 1.0 (14/05/10) - initial release Installation Simply extract the ZIP contents and place everything as is in your /cfg folder (default C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\left 4 dead 2\left4dead2\cfg). This autoexec.cfg file is now automatically executed when you start Left 4 Dead 2. If you already have an autoexec.cfg with some personal settings, you can simply update your existing one with the contents of this bundle or edit it to your liking. Mind that the q1_scripts folder has to be extracted too to the same directory or you shall fail. All the additional scripts from the L4D1 version will work as well with this, just not all were added. Also, if you like only the glow changes, they are now fully standalone. Oh and in case anyone knows the variables for changing the glows of Scavenge cans and the "gas machine holes", please share the info.

You have no concept of understanding what you're even saying, please refrain from posting inexplicable crap. Besides, you don't have to limit anything, the glow pulses were simply made for 60 as you HAVE TO code transitions in time that way, but that doesn't mean it will look crap on higher fps - it will simply transition faster which might look better to some.

You're commenting on a project that has been downloaded and used more than 100k times and has quite a happy userbase. However, you and alike never stop coming. All from me for today, evening.

Oh Jesus this guy won't leave my soul unless I reply.

Now - someone as smart as you might know that aliasing is the only method you can use to script "advanced" console stuff in Source, there are no usual language functions, conditioning... Saying "aliases that have been around forever" is like "yeah lol this apple tree grows apples how ugly ". But I do get the other meaning as well - like the net_graph, that's an old thing and you take personal offence since gaming experience is one of your life standpoints. I've searched out the first author in line which was some mod here and asked him if I could include it to the original L4D Community Autoexec project, which you should probably read up on before even commenting on this one.

Truth is it has many authors, because they made some damn good scripts which enhanced the L4D experience in many ways and people really liked it. All were asked, agreed and credited. Over time with some really good discussions, we have enhanced the script with dieckmann in many ways based on community input and it became a really solid and reasonable upgrade to L4D. So now, all that said, you are simply underestimating what you see because you come in hating. This attitude isn't welcome for many reasons. Solid critique on the other hand is, which is something I doubt to hear from you.

lol you decided to troll an adult,high skill level player, who is also respected by the competetive and forum community of this game, who won't bite your bait. pick your troll targets more wisely.

as for the complaints, its a damn cfg, not wonder bra.

Sad that you can't back anything up with anything you have ever done for this game or community.
