If you are beating an opponent, and all of a sudden right when it becomes hopeless for them, the game goes out of sync, just wait patiently. You will win the game by default, despite what they may think when they attempt to disconnect from the game instead of concede the match.
Had a player by the username of bee try to pull this trick last night - sorry, bee. I won, unlocked a card for my deck, and everything you tried to prevent.
Several other players have tried to get away with this with me, disconnecting right when I was about to win. I can only assume they shut down their net to try and unsync the game, or tabbed out and shut the program down manually.

Just be patient, and don't concede in this situation.
