Windows XP Crashs Upon Launch

Hey guys

Recently purchased this game and have now installed it twice with the afore mentioned issue still present. Upon launch it goes through the publishers logos and what not and when it asks me to press start, then im told application has failed and must be closed. without fail every attempt to launch ends this way, i Meet the recommended specs for the game and as i stated installed it twice.

Looking at the forums for this game i noticed a few ppl experiancing crashs on vista but it seems to be the same with XP. how can they sell this knowing this crash bug happens?

Pfft no sign of a patch either, anyone have any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
