Endless Loop Bug?

I'm stuck at the hotel, started the Stovepipe puzzle, which was interrupted by the angry Gnome (not sure if this was a bug or not). Anyway, after going out to the alley and back, it would not let me leave the hotel. It kept saying "First I have to fix Martha's stove". Well, when I click on the stove, nothing happens.

Kinda sucks! Loving the game, however.

Did you solve all of the puzzle(s) in the back alley yet?

If i remember correctly there is also something to pickup.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, silly me....all that was needed was to go back to the alley, solve the crazy dude's puzzle, and from there you could come back to the lobby and solve the stovepipe puzzle.

However, I don't remember picking up the screwdriver or whatever item that was on the alley floor.

Anyway, fantastic game. I hope they do a sequel.
