Somethings up with the video?

I just bought doom 3 today, on sight of it being 14 dollars cheaper, LOL, but when I went to start the game up, it was all good, till I got to the start screen, the menu awas there, but the planet model in the background was white, I didnt think much of it, but then I went to sdtart te game, and the whole ♥♥♥♥ing thing is white, what do I do? Im running on a Vaio, itf that helps. PLEASE help before I go ♥♥♥♥ing NUTS.
