Possible sound fix for 5.1

Hello all,

I read on gamefaqs, that someone used a digital optical out for their sound and the 5.1 worked. I was wondering if anyone has tried this. Also, for those with with 5.1, do you guys have the same missing sounds problem later in the game (imperial raxis prime and deathstar)? I (btw) have a creative x-fi titanium fatality sound card.
