Hi,

Feel free to post other threads which make sense and have a positive feedback from the community.
One thread for each topic.



First of all, Why needs CSS Updates?
Source is playable, makes fun and has his own flair. No question
But its not good enough for competitive playing. And this keeps a game alive!! (1.6 over 10 years and it looks like lego)
It will never replace 1.6 in big tournaments if it stays like it is, even if 1.6 is slowly dying.
The small group of flamers in this forum are mostly public hunters who cant understand this point of view.

erm recode the game to make the reg and hitboxes work properly, stop breaking servers with every update, stop the hackers exploiting the servers, that will do to start with

Considering everything it's taking into account, the netcode works pretty well. The only case it's bad is with the kevlar arms and legs.

ok so explain how firing a full m4 clip into someone's chest with kevlar results in 3-4 hits for about 80 damage when your 3 foot away from them ?

Also awps with their ability to do 450+ damage can do 81 in 3 from mid to short on d2 when you can only see a players head ?

shotguns can kill you from across the map and i have seen shotgun players out shoot awpers in office i think there are some serious issues there

A good comprehensive list of what is in my opinion necessary gameplay changes and additions.
Also does the SAS player model still drop weapons from the foot area? That would be a required fix if jumping in freeze-time was brought to the game. (I'm not able to test this today).

Thats like standing in the corner with your eyes shut and your hands over your ears and claiming you didnt see or hear anything

if you really really want to see it that badly join a server, any server, and watch a few rounds. You will soon see it for yourself.

Idea: Clutter on maps like d2 and all those trash/baskets and (arguably) barrels make you block/push you and just serve no purpose other than make this game more random (when you block or a barrel pushes you freely). The idea is to remove by cvar all those physics props and remove map ambient sound or at least make them not so dominative over other sounds.

Idea: In CSS two people can only stack on each other. In 1.6 there is no cap. The idea is to make the CSS cap greater. Most agreed to 3 player stacks but it could be controlled by cvar.
You might wanna add a few things like demo record with time stamp etc.
