Forced refresh rates?

So far my single biggest gripe with this game is that I can't run my screen's native resolution at 60hz. It wants to force all resolutions to 75hz, which forces me to use a much lower res and the outer edges of the hud go outside my screen.

I can't even use direct refresh because it seems to crash the game on startup.

I went to the avencast forums and found a working solution for my issue. Hopefully this helps anyone else with the same problem.

try to set the refresh rate manually in the cfg/game.cfg file. Open with a text editor and set e.g.

refresh=60

Non-standard refresh rate? I got a whole list with mine, including
1920x1200 at 60hz.
