What does +1 on items mean?
I dont think they have a higher base price, whats the point of these numbers?

It increases the stats a little. Let's say an Apple usually restores 10hp, +1 could mean it improves 11hp or 12hp this time. Usually when you fuse items, things tend to get a bit higher. I had a Clothes Beater which was +8. I didn't check the differences with the normal ones, but I believe they were there.

since some of the items that get these boni dont have stats (ingredients) i assume they yield better fusion results

Yes ingredients with + get directly transfered onto the fused item.
And say +10 on weapon gives 10 more attack and +10 armor gives +10 defense, just the main stat though so a plate with + wont increase magic defense and a sword wont get magic attack. |
