Can't jump in knoxx

I'm level 57 at the jump in the start of the prison set in Knoxx. I have to jump a ramp thru a hole to continue. I won't embarass myself by saying how many times I have tried this seemingly simple jump but always fall short. /????i guess it's the boost application timing but I must ask for help.Is there an alternative? THank You

use the Racer buggy and hit boost about 50% up the ramp, but make sure you are going straight up it, and there is no alternate way to get to the prison either.

I thought that was it but I was zoning out when the racer buggy access was explained. 328 hours in Borderlands and I can't find theracer buggy. How do I get this buggy, I'm mentally squishy but good for a while longer . I'll fire up the game and try to figure it out, thanks.u

you get the buggy from scooter in t-bone junction, should be the basic vehicle you can choose, looks a lot like the buggy from the normal game, but it has a rear spoiler added to it.

Change the vehicle type (left side of screen) when getting a vehicle.

I figured it out after your help. I guess it's time for some sleep. thanks agaain, I forgot about the racer.

Hehe.
Like I said, I just went through this (yesterday, to be exact).
I stopped playing the Knoxx dlc for MONTHS because of it.
After playing the Claptrap DLC, I went back to knoxx and tried again, and had to ask the same exact question.
:P

So, dont feel bad about it.

You don't need to boost half-way up the ramp. Hitting it then would be classed as "too late"

It's better to use it a second before you hit the bottom of it, and make sure you're aiming straight at it to begin with, you don't want to have to adjust while in "boost" mode

In the vehicle spawner locations, you can scroll from a selection at the top where it says Monster. This is also true in the main game

I remember that one...
On my first try I was trying to ramp off of it with the first vehicle you get. After a few failed attempts I decided to try to do it using the Lancer and as I was flipping through the vehicle selection I saw "Racer". In my mind I thought "WTF where did this come from!?"

You get an update from Scooter saying he has added another vehicle. I half heard this and failed a few times when I tried this. I got to the prison, but I needed a vehicle to make the jump.

I also realised, the Monstor would be too slow and what Scooter said may have been beneficiary to me

You get the racer after you meet Moxxi the first time iirc.
