This is a temporary workaround. First, download JoyToKey from here:
JoyToKey Homepage Then place the two config files in this .zip into its directory. Nimbus JoyToKey Configs v1 The two configs should be available when you open JoyToKey, just pick whichever matches the controller you are using. Here are how they are set up: 360 Controller Map Logitech Precision Controller Map NOTES: *Some buttons are pre-bound in Nimbus (wrongly), which limited my options (in other words, the buttons I didn't mark probably still do... something). *I set up the A and B like I did because that's sort of the 360 controller default- A selects, B takes you back. *I mirrored the up/down keys as buttons, since I find it easier to brake using a button than the pad. *The functions for the sticks on the 360 controller are for pressing each down like a button. *The Precision config may work for other Logitech controllers, too. Anyway, hope that saves people a little time. Obviously you can change the configs to whatever you like, just remember that some buttons are pre-bound, which is why I didn't take advantage of more of them. Cool! You can remove the buttons that are already bound by deleting entries in Keybindings.xml in case you want to use them for other things. I think you got some rather good mappings going there as it is however.

Ideally I'd put control/shift as X/Y. Then mirror up/down on the left and right shoulder buttons respectively. As it is, it's possible to accidentally hit B (escape) while breaking and kick yourself outta the level lol. Last edited by DJ Cryotek: 10-28-2010 at 08:13 PM. |
