Fast kill with the laser gun?

I see some people being able to kill very fast with the laser gun....how does it work? do you need to aim somewhere or press something? really cant figure that out, for me it take always like 3-4 seconds to kill with the laser gun ...

Depends on his HP, if its low obviously he'll die faster.
Try aiming for the head, best damage there.

That laser gun has a huge range btw. you can fire across half the map with that gun as long as you have a free line of sight.
