Wink A little help about sniper achievement

Jarate Chop - Jarate and then kill 3 enemies with your Kukri.

As i understand i must mark 3 enemies at once and kill them using kukri ( but i think Bushwacka is best for it) But what is best map for it ?? I dont think what 3 enimies let you come too close and wouldnt fight back even 3 spies with 1 hp can kill you just using revolver...

Any advice ?

I'm not sure if it's 3 enemies in a row; The achievement says nothing about that. I'm not sure though. Killing 3 enemies in a row is terribly hard and you'd need to be plain lucky that 1) you're not spotted and 2) your teammates don't shred the enemy.

I think it's just killing 3 Jarate'd players, not in a row. Just snipe, and douse anyone that comes close to you. Sniper achievements are probably the easiest class achi's to get.

Just like the "get five Jarate assists" achievement, you can't spread it out over a round, it needs to be done with a single Jarate throw.

In my experience, the best place to do either of those is on payload maps, preferably near the last CP, when people are gathered around the cart and distracted by grenade/rocket spam and such. Naturally, said spam is guaranteed to kill most of the people you Jarated, so you need to be very fast.

It's a stupid and unrealistic achievement - I still don't have it after a few hundred hours - but there you go.

You mean Number One Assistant? "Score 5 Assists with the Jarate in a single round." I think I got this one pretty fast. Just keep tossing Jarate at players. I'm amazed that you don't have it yet, after so many hours. Just toss some Jarate bottles in front of your Heavy teammate, and he'll mow them down. Easy on payload, methinks.

Well, this one time I did get 5 assists with a single throw, but since that didn't grant me the achievement I figured it was bugged.

However, if it also works over multiple throws then I suppose it has been bugged from the very start, seeing as I've gotten well over 5 assists in one life in the past (when I went out of my way to get it).

Jarate Chop is just hard.

Actually it's supposed to be getting 5 Jarate-assists in a single life. You have to be credited for the assist though, so if a Heavy/Medic combo mows down the Jarate'd player, odds are the assist goes to the Medic. I think the Sydney Sleeper makes this easier since you can inflict Jarate from a long range.

I find Shock Treatment to be an oddly difficult Achievment to get. Mostly because it's rare that you'll have a Spy stupid enough to break the Razorback instead of pulling out the Ambassador. And then we have the problem of killing him before the knife cools down and he Cloaks away...

Jarate Chop is possibly the hardest of all the Sniper Achievments, you'll need to Jarate 3 enemies at once, then kill them with your Kukri without dying. I almost had it on Manor Event when the entire BLU team rushed to the unprotected first cap (HHH was destroying RED). I threw the Jarate onto the point and pretty much doused the entire BLU team, then pulled out my Bushwacka before they could react and killed a Medic and Scout before a Soldier blew me up.

What was irritating was that a few seconds after my death, a Heavy conveniently walked through the little hole and shot the entire BLU team to death. If I wasn't aiming for Jarate Chop, I would've gotten Number One Assistant.....now I have neither...

I agree - snipers achievement quite easy except this one.
But some give you a real challenge like kill SAME enemy with 3 def weapon in 1(!) life...
or Shock treatment - kill spy after he broke your shield . Nowadays spies just ignore snipers with Razorback or just kill them with ambasador... I just asked my friend to help with it...

So i think best spot for this is cart or cp point... Just need much luck..

Errm. Well there is a kind of cheating way to get it. Go make a private match on arena sawmill and type into the console tf_bot_add 5. This isnt an sv cheat so if there is going to be another cheaters lament you will get it. Simply equip jarate and the bushwacker, go into the enemy spawn cover em with jarate and kill em with the bushwacker. I dont know if you can do it with the bushwacker but I bet u can. If not just do it with the kukri.

I got it on plr_pipeline last stage.

The enemy had a pyro, a medic and a spy pushing the cart and they had just reached the middle platform. Everyone were covering behind the cart because of our pesky snipers hoping to take them out while a came out to the middle platform.

I threw jarate and went chop, chop, choppin'.
Good thing the pyro was already weakened by the snipers and the spy was a newbie. I had the stock kukri equipped.

ATTENTION EVERYONE

I'm fairly certain this achievement is glitched/mislabeled. There have been reports that, despite the "requirement," 6 players must be killed while under the effects of your Jarate. They do not need to be afflicted from a single throw, but rather as many as you need so long as you do not die in between.

I have not personally tested or gotten this achievement, but these observations have been floating around for a while. I think they just might be accurate.

There's one other complication- when you throw the jarate it must directly hit one of your 3 victims. As for finding 3 enemies caught off guard it isn't particularly easy in any map. I was fortunate enough to earn this one in 2fort, was up on the battlements when several enemies bum-rushed the front door. I jarateed the group from above, hopped down after them and started chopping with the bushwacka. I was incredibly lucky to find that none of them had the presence of mind to notice me while I was at it.

If this approach doesn't work, try playing defense on a payload map, and getting a ways behind the cart. When a group tries to push it, jump them.
