TDU2 gets a new release date!

Now it's finally confirmed that TDU2 is coming February 8th in US, Feb. 11th in EU and Feb. 10th in Australia

Already pre-purchased it from Steam

Remember, these are projected dates.
It may or may not make it.
It is even possible it could be moved closer to present. It all depends on when the game is complete, bug free and ready for market.

release date was announced recently so I'm sure that TDU2 is ready for release.

It had a release date of September 21, 2010, at one time.
Again, it may or it may not make the new date. It clearly isn't ready for release now, or it would be shipping.
Any game that is in development that has a release date given, is a 'projected' date.
Once the game has gone gold, then the date becomes more certain. Until then, it is not set in stone and subject to change. It may be sooner, it may be the exact date, it may be later. No one knows exactly at this point. It is impossible to know for sure.
Unless, Atari has said it will be released whether completed or not. We have seen games pushed out before that were not 100% ready and had to rely on patches to finish it up after release.
I'm not saying that is the case with TDU2, only saying that any date given at this point is a 'projected' date only. So take it with a grain of salt.
