Black screen with native resolution 1440 x 900 with 8800GT - Page 2

My dxdiag gets stuck on (what we think to be) this phantom device as well. I've been unsuccessful in finding it and I've been meaning to for a while so I'm going to reformat my system and pray that it gets rid of what ever is lurking on my system. I'll post with the results once it's done.

Well I'm not sure what it ended up being (likely something my school network effed with at some point knowing them) but the reformat did the job and swarm works like a dream. Thanks so much for working so hard to help me. Have a happy new year. :3
