Dinertown Detective agency

Hi I bought this game on rebate installed it and everytime I try to start a game the game closes and it says that the game stopped working.

I am using windows vista 32bit family edition and I am pretty sure the store page says its compatible with it, anyone have any idea how to fix this ?

This is happening to me too on Windows 7 x64 Ultimate. I've tried running the game in XP compatibility mode and turning off the Steam in-game community but it still crashes whenever I try to start a game.

Same story for Dinertown Tycoon!

I read some advice on the developer's website and got my PlayFirst games working. Kind of a lousy fix though.

The problem is that the games are not compatible with Adobe Flash 10. If you uninstall it the games work. You can install Flash 9 to continue viewing Flash content on websites, but there might be issues or security concerns with using old versions of Flash.

This is a real shame since the Steam store page mentioned nothing about this before purchasing.

Hmmmm we bought the games for my wife's PC as well and they're working just fine for her with Flash 10 installed on Win7 x64 Ultimate. I have an Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU, and she has AMD CPU and ATI GPU. Puzzling!

--edit 2--

Wellsers, I uninstall Flash 10 and the games worked just fine. For the heck of it I tried reinstalling the newest version of Flash 10 from Adobe's website and waddaya know, the games are working! I don't know if they'll stay working but maybe there was a simple incompatibility with the version I had. I'll let you know if anything changes but for now I can play my games just fine!

My wife able to play some of these games (including this one) in her Win7 64bit laptop. She just download from STEAM and start playing.
