Since I cant play crossworlds (bought the 3 games for $30 or roughly $10 a game which in my mind is good for a new game coming out) I am woundering atm which one amoured princess or the legend I should try first. (I hope these 3 games will keep me busy for weeks and months to come) anyways looking forward to some suggestions

The legend came first, so I suppose I would play that first.

Crossworlds is basically enhanced Armored Princess + 2 "arena" campaigns. Play Legend and then Armored Princess (Orcs on the March).

It doesn't matter, really. The Legend technically comes before Armored Princess (in terms of the story), but you don't lose anything by not playing it. It has gameplay features Armored Princess doesn't and vice versa.

If you want the full story, then TL > AP. Not sure where Crossworlds fits in, but I assume it's all set after AP (except for Rise of the Orcs which I guess is a sort of alternate AP).

callgarrett has it right on as far as the order.

I would think Crossworlds was a really good game, if I hadn't already played Armored Princess. I find what's new in it to be pretty thin.

Personally I would go
  • King's Bounty: The Legend
  • King's Bounty: Armoured Princess
  • King's Bounty: Crossworlds (Ocs on the March campaign)
Then it's up to you. Champion of the Arena or Defender of The Crown.

This is the order in which they were released. I feel that this is the better way to go about it as you learn about the backstory and enjoy the game as it was meant to be enjoyed.

AP adds some great features that I really miss painfully when I go back to TL.

Is there any reason to play Armoured Princess without Crossworlds, as I understood it, it just adds new stuff to the same old campaign ?

Yes, playing Armoured Princess vanilla first and then playing Orcs on the March would result in you playing the same basic campaign twice (with add the features in your second play through).

Essentially, if you have Crossworlds, there's no point in playing AP vanilla, unless you specifically don't like OotM's features.

Play the Legend first if you would like but when you move to AP please just play Orcs on the March, as its still AP but just with more additions. You'll hate yourself forever if you end up having to play the same game twice.

1) The Legend (if you want)
2) AP: Orcs on the March

In the middle any side campaigns that come with it - DO NOT PLAY AP VANILLA

Interesting. I'll have to keep this in mind for when AP/Crossworld is fixed up and I get around to playing the games.

Rezzing this to get more opinions. Is the only reason to play the first for the story?

Is the second superior to the first gameplay/content wise?

Go directly to crossworlds Orcs on the march campaign.

Don't waste your time on anything else. This game is a huge time killer, and you will not be able to experience the full content of king's bounty if you don't play CW Orcs on the march.

I just bought the Steam 3 pack bundle that comes with all 3.. I believe the last one says you need the 2nd one to play it.

Good to know. I guess I'll play the first one, then skip to the 3rd.
