Local 2 Player VS mode?

Even though the "game details" section of this game's Steam page says "single-player", from what I've read it sounds like this game does in fact have a 2 player mode (although correct me if I'm wrong).

My question is whether or not it has a two player "VS" mode. In other words, does this game have a mode where I can play against someone else in the same room, on the same PC, using 2 Xbox controllers? Or is it a local co-op mode, where you play with someone on the same team (like in the game Shatter)?

Also, if there is a 2 player VS mode, how is it?

Thank you for your excellent question. YES, the game has a two player versus mode, it's one of the things where the game really shines. And all you need is one PC!

This game has 2 player but does it have more what about 4 or more player?
If not it would be a really cool addition. I have an HTPC and am thinking about buything this game as a good looking game to run with people over.

No it only has two player for the moment. I best since TotalBiscuit did his little video it's probably in the works of development right now. Gogo 4 player Swarrmm.
