Emerald City Confidential doesn't start

I have recently bought Emerald City Confidential, but every time I activate it and it prepares to launch, I get an error message that says that the program had to close. I've tried verifying the quality of the game cache, making sure my programs are up to date, halting background programs (which the computer wouldn't allow anyway), and deleting and reinstalling the game, none of it worked.
Can someone please help?

Never mind, I got it working. Somehow a Trojan latched onto the program, eventually the computer managed to quarantine it.

How is the game? I am looking at that title. Searching the web there are good reviews and I see it is only $9.99.

How is the game? One of the best voice acting adventure game ever made. The story line is also very impressive. I really like how the story ended.
