Sooo, Sound problem that I haven't seen before??

So, I have this problem when ever BO runs. It disables sound for everything else on my computer. So I cant use vent to talk to friends. I have updated my sound drivers and everything. When I click on my sound device I get 2 error messages that say.

"No M-Audio Revolution was found. You may need to install the software again."

Then I click the X and get this.

"an exception occured while trying to run "shell32.dll,control_rundll revo.cpl"

Anyone ever have this happen with other programs and know how to fix it? That would be awesome! The only way to fix it is to restart my computer. Which is annoying. Thanksssss
