Thats too bad! You know this could save you from taking the plunge on a game where a planned 2nd wave of beta invites turned out to be a big hoax to bring in more pre-orders. If you've never tried city of heroes, that instead is worth its weight in superhero gold!

Too bad, the game is really good. Not sure what the above poster is talking about new people were getting into the beta as late as Jan 4. For what it's worth you can build a great gaming PC for fairly cheap these days.

A better video card and with atleast 800mb more ram you could probably run it. Since processing power i not that important. (unless your cpu is a single core) (id run cod5 with a 2,6 ghz single core and 3ghz was minimum) Surely only on minimum specs.

But i strongly Suggest to upgrade your computer and get a cheap 64bit machine.

Thats very true indeed.
I spent just over £370 on my current system and it runs all of todays games and most future releases, Hopefully :P without any issues.
Ofcourse I do have to reduce some of the major settings on the heaviest of games i.e GTA IV, Arma 2, but thats cause I use ATi and I didnt get a good physics engine with it, where as Nvidia do. my bad.

I just simply bought an i5 750 at £90, relativley cheesie mobo, 4gb or ram, the ram was expensive, was the best on the market at the time at £112. and a 5770 which was just shy of £135.

Also good sized 7200 HDD and you'll be running games like this in no time.

Hope the OP gets the new system, and hope to see you in DCUO sometime.
Good luck buddy.
