Weird Cpu freeze

OK here is something weird, I installed my new Asus Xonar D2X card a month ago and it works great but every time I plug my Sennheiser Headphones in the headphone jack or unplug it from the card my system freezes solid, no control from the keyboard or mouse. I have to do a hard power cycle to bring it back up. I've gone over the entire system, reseated all cards, cleaned out all dust and made sure the power supply was tested. My case is an Antec 193 and anybody advise me what I should do next? Help!!
