One thing ticks me off *SPOILERS*
I have just finished the game and thought it was terrific, despite an awkward camera and controls.
Story-wise, a great game that ranks up there with classic adventures like The Longest Journey and Blade Runner. Just one thing bugged me really. Lucas and Carla meet properly and there is very little personal interaction between them before... "Lucas... I love you" (cue the censored sex scene) How exactly does she come to love him so fast? I know women are emotional and clingy but this just came out of nowhere. Then after the game ends (well, with the "Lucas wins" ending I achieved) they get married and have a kid, which is OK as at least you can believe time has elapsed since the ending and then. Just her announcement of loving him just came so quick. |

They had to condense and cut a lot of the story in the latter half of the game. If you keep an eye on the dates the game gives at the start of each scene you'll notice that initially you're playing every day in sequence, but as the game goes on the scenes are split by weeks if not months. You're just supposed to assume they became attached to each other during the long stretches of time we don't see.

Yeah, what you think is just a couple of days turns out to be like a few weeks.
I do think he got over his ex's death a bit quick though. |

If you've ever played Heavy Rain, you find out that this is sort of a characteristic of Quantic Dream (David Cage, specifically). The stories would be fantastic, but they're almost ruined by one or two obvious, gaping flaws.
In Indigo Prophecy, it's the completely unnecessary love scene, as well as the random throwing-in of different elements (clearly an attempt to make the story similar to The Matrix). In Heavy Rain, it's a GIANT plot hole that I won't spoil here. When I say "giant", though, I mean that they specifically reference one plot element (as in "How could X have happened if Y is true?") throughout the entire story, and randomly stop caring about it in the end (Nobody cares anymore that Y is true and the story seems to forget about it). |

The story of Indigo Prophecy starts very strong but takes a lot of ridiculous, moronic turns halfway through. Great dialogue and great gameplay but such an idiotic story.

Yeah, it's like the writers couldn't decide what to do with the story and ended up implementing all their ideas.
