I thought the new patch worked great, especially the turn changes. I don't see why you need many troops, you just need to be more strategic about them, I especially love the bonus on the Aztec culture gain, it was easy enough to win culture with them before, but now it's uber easy.

To update from my prior comment, so far the new patch seems better in terms of overall gameplay for me on Noble. Haven't read the changelog but certainly noticed a lot of the policy changes they made, should be interesting. I don't know if it has anything to do with the changes they made to how the tiles benefit the cities but so far so good. Hoping it's not just a placebo effect or a lucky good start game, will know more as time goes on.

Nope, I haven't touched Economics in this game yet.... and don't have to for a while yet.
