Game will not start

I bought Ion Assault about a week ago and the game will not start after pulling up Video options menu. I have tried running the game in Windowed mode, I have verified the integrity of my game cache, and I have updated my graphics card driver to no effect.

My system specs are:

OS: Windows 7 32 bit
CPU: Intel Core Duo T7300 2.00 Ghz
Ram: 4.00 GB (3.5 usable)
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT

I would like to get some kind of response back as to what my problem is and a possible solution.

Sorry, but the game doesn't run with the Geforce 8600M GT. The 8600M is a 4 year old laptop graphics card which lacks in power and features.
