Wow, this game is still broken
I played about 40 hours, now I can't progress, at the end turn the game jumps to the desktop when the pirates take a turn.
It seems odd that they would start banging out DLC after DLC and two newer games with such major problems. It's now about 2 years on, and the game is still broken. |

Is it really sega's fault?
I thought Creative Assembly made the game. Sega's just a publisher right?

It's pretty irritating that they abandoned the issues with E:TW with they have seemingly fixed most of them in N:TW. I would love to play Empire, I would love to give them my money for it, but I absolutely will not knowing it's so full of bugs and that it barely functions with my video card. |

its a great game.. Just bought it a few day ago. and have already logged like 25 hrs.. but it lags soooooo bad and crashes to desktop randomly.
i7 920 @ 4.0 gtx 470 6 gigs of ram games dont lag for me.. only this one. its brutal. I noticed when I opened task manager it was using over 1,000,000 in memory. Obviously its a memory leak somewhere. But because of this, i wont be buying any more of these games. |

Sometimes it'll get to around 1.4gigs of memory, though only at the campaign map. Considering i'm on vista, and only have 2 gigs of RAM, this is a ridiculously huge amount of RAM for the game to use. |

I just fired it up now and checked task manager.. after about 10 minutes i was up to 1,600,000 kb of RAM used. it jsut turns into a slide show and i can barely play. I jsut auto resolve battles because its unplayable
Like company of heroes, bc2, hell any game never goes over 600,000 |

Rome Total War was really good, Medieval2 Total War is quite nice, and ever since I actually found the games to get worse, only thing that gets better is the eyecandy. Shogun2 is the first I didn't get.

Shogun 2 is actually by far the best Total War game, by a mile.
You're missing out. |

Whoever said that probably doesn't know anything about anything bro. Empire Total War was my favorite anyway, despite the bugs, I loved playing as America.

I liked Empire, especially crushing America (<3), it was just unfinished is all. Every faction had the same units besides a different unit colour. Yea, nice going TCA. |

Still, I wish Empire would work. I'm on turn 99 as sweden and when I end turn it crashes on Prussia's turn. It's my favourite period Total War has covered so far
