windows 7 help

If anyone still plays this I could use some help. I installed allies on windows 7 and in the game options area, I cannot deselect the compress save files box or select the multithreading and the other item below it. All other options I can click on. I tried reinstalling it several times, tried it in different computers (windows7) and messed with the security options in the files. Any ideas? Thanks.
