It's really weird.
I don't know how I feel about this but it's rather amusing that no one's been buying this. I think it's kinda hard too, maybe that's just me. |

I bought it about a year or two ago for £25. Played it for about an hour and sold it on Play.com for around £7
![]() From what I recall the voice acting was decent, the guy reminded me of the man who does the voice for 47 in Hitman. The game itself was ...quirky in a sense, but generally not very well polished, which is typical for alot of european games. |

I agree, the idea is a great one...but the game is poorly made. The first thing which jumped in my eye was the not-very-good-looking GUI, and also the human race does more feel like one of those poor made and flat arch-enemies you're normally fighting.
On the other hand, the ships are good looking, so are the battles. I couldn't find any flows in the controls and also equipping your ships with ever changing sets of weapons just makes fun. |

I loved the concept, the battles, and the graphics were good (looked like Doom 3 engine) for the type of game it was. I just felt the controls needed some work.
Playing Genesis Rising after playing Homeworld 1 & 2 made it seem simple and unpolished in comparison. It was a different experience and I plan to spend more time playing it. I think once I get used to the interface, having to manually tell my ships to use their weapons, and tinker with the controls I will find that I like the game. |
