Class 380 Re-Skin
Does anyone know how to re_skin the 380,i have tried 3,all crash, after i delete Blueprint cache, then try to use new skin,it crashes, and when i go back to files, the blueprint has returned, every time i delete Blueprint,it returns on its own, only one i have that works,is with the "Heathrow shuttle",there are not many skins for the 380,only found 4,all bar 1 (HRS)crash,is it protected,or just hard to put a skin on.I have put many skins on diff trains,so i know how,but this has me stumped.I have seen video's with London Midland skin on,but in the words of the C5 prog "How do they do it" lol,,ok,thanks if you can help.

I have just sent you a PM about this, with an unlikely, but possible workaround.

I'm not sure why you're having problems with the 380. There are a lot of reskins on RW Trainsim with clear instructions. I just installed the London Midland and as per instructions copied the Scotrail 380 and renamed it lm. Then pasted the lm folder inside the 380 folder to overwrite the renamed lm 380. I didn't look for blueprints just cleared the blueprint cache when starting RW.
I just tried it and it works fine. http://rw-trainsim.co.uk/ Last edited by Clemmo47: 05-31-2011 at 02:37 PM. |

Here is a tip for you if not already known, if you add a third party re-skin from the likes of UKTS to RW you will usually have the instruction in the readme files to delete the blueprint.pak; Deleting the blueprint.pak resets it then once you start the game a new blueprint.pak is created with all the variants of that class of loco including the one you have just set up.
Left undeleted only the loco variants in the existing pak will be recognised and can be used. |
