installing AvP using disk

Hello,
I have limited bandwidth so I cannot download avp via steam (which is about 15gb I think?). So I wish to install the game using the 2 DVDs

I followed the instructions here

However, steam still tries to download the game automatically.
Is there any way around this?

Also, does anyone know how large the AvP update patch is?
