I am having this issue with slowdown.
My computer is more than adequate to run Age of Wonders SM and all my drivers are up to date. The unit movements are really slow, and it carries on into tactical combat. I have tried changed resolutions, turning on and off Use Direct3D, lowering graphics etc. I have tried making a smaller game to see if there was just too much going on, it was equally slow in a 2 player small map. Anyone have any ideas what is going on here? Specs: Intel Core i3 2.93 ghz, 4gb RAM, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260, 1TB HD, OS:Windows 7 Home |

the game like to take an age on the cpu moves, like the hell it doesn't want to try and use 100% of one of cpu out of six idc if it uses all 6 to 100% but it just doesn't bother, its one of the only games i would like to see to use all my cpu for once, only other can be Supcom FA seeing as that doesn't want to fix its threads after an hour.

This game was originally released in 2000, and is provided pretty much as it was on Steam, with no changes. Back in the day, only servers and very powerful workstations had anything but single core. So don't expect it to be multicore-aware.
