Frame Rate Bug with x360ce

Hey folks:

Encountered this bug and a cursory search didn't seem to mention it so hopefully others will find the fix useful if they encounter the problem.

The problem:
I got the game (Summer Steam Sale) and everything was great. Even got my Logitech controller (via x360ce - http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/) working with it, which I tried a few times and then stopped using. However, after several successful starts the game suddenly began producing about 8fps and it took ages to load. Game was essentially unplayable.
The fix:
Tried all the usual suspects (lowered settings, turn off vsync, defragged drive, etc) nothing worked. On a whim tried plugging the controller back in and restarted the game. Bingo! Worked a treat again.

If you encountered something similar and don't want to use a controller then remove the files x360ce includes - I'm guessing it's the xinput dll that's the issue.
Hope that helps,

skribe
