Glitch ?

I have been trying to get the 'Stunt Driver' achievment and for some reason every time I get to 78-79 points the game freezes and locks up. I have verified files and also run a defrag but still no matter what I try it still does it.

I have been attaching a car to an aeroplane using the grapple, now it might be that it runs out of map or some such but that just seems a bit crap.

Any solutions, patches or fix to solve this ?
