Slow boat speed w/ Controller, anyone else?

Am I the only one who is getting like a quarter of the movement speed with a controller? Using the WSAD keys makes you go like twice as fast?? No one else is experiencing this??? Am I just missing something? If someone can enlighten me on this I would be most appreciative

I have exactly the same problem. The boat keeps the same (slow) speed, even when not firing, only when I'm using my 360 controller. As keyboard controls don't seem appropriate for this game I really hope someone has a solution...

If you press and hold B on the controller you'll get a speed boost... I'm not sure whether this is comparable to the keyboard speed you're describing, though.

The tutorial indicated that the boost and guns can't be active at the same time. Also, there are some mission events that cause the boost to be disabled temporarily.
