Widescreen Solution

anyone here that knows a solution to display Pirates! in 1680x1050px without loosing Ingame Screen?

Afraid not. If you have a problem with stretching there is usually a option on your monitor so you get black bars left and right so you get the right aspect.

Although I can only see the option when I'm having a 4:3 resolution.

config.ini under steam X:\steam\steamapps\common\sid meier's pirates!

add line AT BOTTOM

fullscreen = 0

worked win7 x64

ty it worked but throws my cursor off like 2" to the side of my intended point, anyone else have that issue?

I have that issue, I'm using a resolution changer to run it in 1024*600.

Problem is that the game doesn't support widescreen aspect ratios so this is something you'll have to live with. Doesn't stop you from playing the game though.
