Hey m8... Sorry to say there is NO formal support for this game anymore. I know, I was one of the last to support it on their " official " forums at payback.com
In fact, there was only ONE patch put out to help with issues with display and vista. That you would have to contact ACTIVISION VALUE for. I do hope this helps. |

It wasn't that they realized nothing would save it. It's just that they realized how poor a job they did, and that it would be too much to try to save it by developing the proper patches.

Yeah i need a resolution fix bad as well..im running 1920 x 1080. This really sucks.
I did notice though if you have the old 258.96 nvidia drivers it fills the screen on 1680 x 1050 res.

I can't remember if that version of drivers were supposed to work native with that resolution... If it works, you are lucky...
You could try contacting Dave at Cauldron games to see if they still have the vista patch and see if this helps your issues. Alternately, you can try activision Value and see if they will help. Both companies are trying to forget the error of getting involved with that title. |

You can edit profile.dat with a hex eidtor in dir:
Activision Value\Soldier of Fortune Payback\Save I managed to get 1920x1080 this way. Anyone know how to force AA using Nvidia inspector? |
