Ok. Seems like we may have a problem then. Although purchased for a modest sum all in all, it bugs me to have an unplayable game in my Steam list.

Perhaps I'll fire up my Win7 Ultimate XP virtual machine, install steam there and then only Robin Hood. Bah.

@captain_video: Tried just about everything in terms of compatibility mode etc. and no dice.

Last-ditch effort then: does it work in Linux with Wine?

Good call. I got it working much better in VMware. Still a few issues, but much more playable.

I like to keep a dual boot handy for this kind of thing. Some of GOG's stuff works better that way too, especially older DirectX games.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I'm contacting the publisher for a solution.

I originally contacted there support when this was first released, they were quick to reply but only offered the standard trouble shooting suggestions mentioned in their support topic in this forum things Iím sure we all tried when first purchased.

Not heard anything since then, Iíll wait until the end of the month if I have not seen a serious attempt by the publisher to correct these issues Iíll be reopening my steam ticket as there clearly not delivering the product that was purchased.

Is there indeed any update? I think it's pretty obvious only the real fans buy a 10-year old game for 9€, and we'd like it to work on a new system.

Refund

After bugging Steam support, they offered me a refund, which I accepted. I actually bought this by mistake, I didn't realize it was a repackaged old game, so I kinda got lucky on that one. I also exchanged some emails with the developers, and tried a few things for them, but never got it working. Too bad.

I ended up putting in a steam ticket to try and get my money back... I wish they would release a warning or something or just take it off the store.
