Exclamation Yet another topic about broken sv_pure

Hello,

sv_pure protection is still broken. I'm sure about sv_pure 1 issue, so I'm going to describe it now.

Basically, client seems to read pure_server_whitelist.txt only on the first sv_pure 1 server connect. Then it keeps this list until you restart Steam (and should refresh this list on every sv_pure 1 server connect).

The result of this bug is that server having wrong whitelist, re-download all custom content on every server connect (even if it already exists) and after that, this custom content doesn't work anyway. For example, skins appear as big running ERRORS or client crashes, because model file can not be loaded.

This bug appeared after 26th May Update:
Quote:
Source Engine Changes (CS:S, DoD:S, TF2, HL2:DM)
Fixed a client crash when disconnecting from servers with sv_pure set to 1
Fixed a client crash in the material system
Fixed a client crash caused by using alt-tab while playing

This bug is really annoying for all server owners. Both Windows and Linux servers are affected by this bug. Please fix it HPE/Valve :)

Best regards.

PS. Please rate this topic, maybe it will help a little.
