Panzer General

Hi,
if you guys read this forum, you are the right ones to ask:
Is there a game which is like panzer general ?
Not the PG 3/IV/3D, but something new ?
PG is still one of my favorite games, even if I have to play it with DosBox to get it to a good resolution.

Anything out there ?

Wesnoth is a turn based fantasy game, reminds me of PG1 style of play.

May not be PG but is turn based and great fun.

Thanks, but I do not just want turn based games, I have lots of them,
but something like PG1 (Elven Legacy is a clone of fantasy general which is just the engine of PG1 with other units, that is the reason I wrote here)

Ok, but check out wesnoth. This would be very close to fantasy General if compared to games.

Hi,
I've been looking for a game like PG for a long time no but it does not seem to be out there.

A fun game I found last week is Battlefield Academy by Slitherine.
It has nice simplified play with a lot of depth behind it but was it misses is core units that stay with you in the next scenario.

Some more games I found in my search an my opinion:
Future Wars - nice but not my taste
Galactic Assault-Prisoner of War - I like this but it's not PG like
Massive Assault - You know this one, nice but too ... I don't know
Advanced Strategic Command - A battle Isle clone/upgrade real nice, you can play it multiplayer on battle-planet.de
Dominion

It's a hard search to find something to replace PG, let me know if you ever find it. Give Battlefield Academy a try, it's nice..
Keep an eye on Matrix Games, Paradox and Slitherine :-)

Hey, I found a PG2 beta remake that includes allied general, panzer general 1 and 2. Find it at panzergeneral2.com :-)

It is a rebuild of PanzerGeneral but runs with full resolution and a really bad ♥♥♥ AI (currently I lose always).
