Game running too fast?
It feels like I'm running when I'm walking. When I cut the throat of a ♥♥♥♥, it's very fast as well. Climbing a ladder takes less than a second. I guess that's not how it's suppose to be, right?
Specs; Win 7 64-bit Quadcore @ 2.4GHz 4GB Ram Ati 6870 edit: I like how the official name for a German soldier during WW2 is censored. |

Heh, I thought that was funny as well...the censoring, at least.
I'm having the same issue, and it does appear framerate-related...at first I thought it was due to FRAPS recording, but the game does the same thing without it; I can record just fine when I set the recording framerate to 30, though. The animations still feel very jerky, even after switching on Vsync in the NVidia control panel. It's only been a few hours since you posted, but have you had any luck? |

I reed the same thing an Advent Rising forum. Caused by the dual or quad-core CPU. Use Vsync or in the Taskar set the application affinity to 1 CPU.

I have the same problem, with a few other older games as well too. Velvet's speed just turns into a run no matter if I hold down shift to run or not there is no difference at all. I've tried setting the affinity to 1 core amongst a ton of other things yet nothing seems to work...
Game crashes randomly after about 5-15 mins of play anyway, I feel scammed out of $5... Last edited by Revenant712: 09-05-2011 at 04:00 AM. |

Interesting. I restarted and all seems to be well. I suppose I should've tried that first. Anyone else try that, to good or ill effect?

Tried messing with the vsync, core settings, compaitibility mode, restarting 50 times, editing cfg files, all to no avail.
Strangely what HAS worked is editing the difficulty.cfg file and changing the sneak speed and patrol speed to .5 instead of 1 and poof when sneaking/ai patrolling it finally works.... BUT the game is still unplayable because I keep getting the running bug when walking (even though sneak speed is fixed) and I can't get the game to stay alive more than 15 mins |

I've got the same problem, plus crashes. I tried fiddling with some settings, but no luck.

No fix yet?
:'( Checking this to "maybe" reinstall the game. I guess it will keep in the dark area for now... |

Getting the same issue here. Game runs at super-speed and then crashes soon after.
