It may very well be I just dont know what I am looking for -linux n00b.

I have root access to my server and want my css server to start as a service, or at least not have to rely on having an open session to keep it running.

Im guessing this is probably quite smple and probably covered but like I said I am a n00b to this and probably just not understanding.

btw, thanks for the great tutorial. got my server up very easily.

Google says it's due to missing 32bit libraries on a 64bit OS and you have to type this to fix it:

apt-get install ia32-libs

What distro are you using?

If you are using CentOS ( Redhat Distro ) you might need to run
Code:
ln -s /bin/gunzip /bin/uncompress
As root

The SteamPipe version of TFC has a couple of major bugs atm, so at least for this game using the HLDS Update Tool is still recommended. And yes HLDS Update Tool can still download files, though occasionally it has problems getting a connection.

Why is this thread still stickied when steampipe has made it obsolete?

Doesn't anyone moderate these boards more than once a year?
