Error writing playerInfo.dat to the Steam Cloud

Hi there!

I saw this game on Steam, and wanted to play the demo, but every time I finish the first level, or restart it, I get the following error: Error writing playerInfo.dat to the Steam Cloud
After I restart the game I can only play the first level again, and my results are lost. Oh wait... I just looked at the game... This error comes up in a new window, and if I close it, the game closes, and I lose the result. But it seems if I click on the game again, I get my points. Is there any way to prevent this error? Or is it a demo thing?

My partner is trying the demo, getting the same problem. Can't find any mention of it elsewhere with google. If I knew it was a demo-only problem that might be okay...

I just tried the demo, same problem, and Steam Cloud works for several other games just fine.

I bought the game, and it seems it's a demo problem. Maybe the developers used this way to prevent unlocking achievements in the demo.
And ion the demo, when the error pops up in a new window, the game still runs, so just click on it, and you can continue to play.

I would expect to see this kind of behavior if Steam isn't running in the background. Are you launching Cogs from the Steam client?

If Steam is giving you any warnings about a mismatch between the file size and expected size, then that's a different problem with the fix described here: http://forum.lazy8studios.com/index.php?topic=728.0
