20GB Update.

JEZUS! I dont update in a while and I have to download the patches at once. This is a massive update, the hell did i miss out on?

You should be able to smell the blood and smoke, once the patch is downloaded

It would be nice if this information were relayed to the user BEFORE the dld commences. The size of the download.
For example if you have a capped monthly data quota, this type of thing blows it clean out of the water.
You may just have more important things to do with that availabe data limit

20 GB Patch? It would take more than 3 weeks for this patch... and this really sucks... :-/ I want to play Total War: Shogun 2 but I can't, 'cause my internet is as slow as a snaile compared to a porsche... Sega wake up

Patches are good but not so huge... please... new internet isn't available in my region...

You don't have to download it to play the singleplayer, just cancel the download and stop steam from automatically downloading it.

okay... I'll try it... but I often play MP, coz it's more fun than Singleplayer

and MP works fine, with my bad internet... that's cool^^

EDIT: So, I tryed it, but it didn't work...

Steam isn't allowed to download it automatically but Steam wants to download it... -.- and I can't cancel the download... If I press on Total War: Shogun 2 in my game library it starts the download... -.- please help me...

You didn't miss out on much actually. My game was up to date when the patch came out.
WHAM. 13.8 gb patch.

I'd really like to know why the patches are so absurdly big. And they seem to be different sizes for different people. Why?
Because I can't afford to keep downloading patches of this size either.

cause Steam doesn't pack the patches, so the patches are as huge as an H2-bomb explosion^^

A bit over 7GB for me, and for reasons that are unclear to me, Steam is currently updating at *less than 10KB/s*. I mean, sure, my connection is slow, but it's not *that* slow!

Please, someone, do something about this. Or at least tell us what goes into these patches!
