Some random competitive questions. . .

Hey, I've been a long time CS:S competitive player and decided I'd pick up DoD:S. I wanted to ask a few things about the competitive scene that are purely random and just for my own knowledge.

1) Which of the classes are regarded as 'standard' for a competitive lineup, and how many of each would be in a 'X man' team?

2) At this late stage in the game's life, are there any 'pros' still playing it? If so, who are the household names?

To the second question, yes, in europe, dod source is still quite active and many good ol'd players still play. Look at : http://zpgaming.eu/ - For more information regarding the european dod source scene.

To the first question, 3xlight(Meaning rifle, as in garand and kar98.) // 2x heavy's(STG44 and BAR.) // 1xsniper.

Rocket, medium(MP40 / Thompson) and MG are consider , noob weapons and is never used basically.

Hope that answer it all.

allied rocket used to be used by some players for the carbine secondary. Rocket kills were still basically unheard of, though there were always hilarious replays when busting a flag cap with them.
