Unhappy Archon game-breaking display bug

Hello fellows,

Archon was working fine last time I posted here. I recently reinstalled my OS and I honestly don't know if there has been released a game update between that and the last time I fired up the game.
Whatever, the game is not working anymore. It will display the very first frame on launch (background gfx and a bit of the green loading bar) and then it stops updating the display. The game DOES load and it plays the menu music, menu sound gfx etc but I can't see a thing besides the loading screen still on display.
If I alt+tab to the desktop and back, the display updates to the current view but then it stops there again until I alt+tab again.
Very weird.
I already tried switching vsynch on+off but that has no effect.
My dxdiag output is here ->

Thanks for any help.

I don't see a thread about it anymore, but I believe the fix for this is to disable triple buffering in your video driver settings. That's what worked for me when I played it, anyway.

edit: just tried it myself and it doesn't work now! Sorry.
