L.A. Noire Gameshield DRM and RGSC

So what bs do we have to put up with this time? I got good laugh out of their special features listing "keyboard remapping". This screams massive console port as if we didnt know already.

EDIT: OMFG after looking at the requirements theyre still insisting on forcing Rockstar Social Club down our throats like GTA4. They lost one pruchase

I won't get this due to the 3rd party DRM. Remove it and i will get it.

When will publishers learn ?
Who at Rockstar decided that it was a freaking good idea to go put a damn DRM in that game ?

You, the person who decided this. YES. YOU.
Don't you know that players who want to pirate your game, will find ways to hack and crack it, whether you like it or not ? They are dead set on pirating your game and will never change their ways.
Do you honestly think that it is effective, even just a little, during the few days around launch ?
Because just as I am writing this, your game is already in the hands of some people, being scrutinized and will be hacked, very likely before the game releases.

You know, I bought the game on PS3. I was also going to buy it on PC. Yes. You were going to get my money, twice. I really enjoyed the game, it is that good. I was really going to buy the game twice, at full price.

Guess what ? I'm keeping my money now.
And the more you pull crap like this, the more 'red flags' you get, until one day I won't even care about your games anymore, DRM-infested or not.

Okay but to be fair that is a generic CYA sort of legalese statement from March 2010 and is not specific to this game.

This game version already includes all the DLC so you won't have to grab them separately from Rockstar. Also, I don't think they are at liberty to just go yanking games or parts of games off of Steam once they put them up here. They are also bound by Steam's terms when selling here.

I do think it's outrageous when Rockstar, or any publisher, adds their own DRM to Steam versions of games since Steam itself is a form of DRM, but as far as that above statement goes I am not concerned about it for this particular release.
